Granted Marketing · Prepared for The O’Connor House

A practical invitation for more volunteer drivers.

I’d help your church and community partners share one clear invitation: providing a ride can help a mother reach work, school or an appointment. I’d build the campaign around your existing application, orientation and weekly signup process.

One role. One next step.

Help people picture how they can serve.

Your volunteer page names transportation as your greatest need. I’d give that role its own message, with the requirements visible before someone applies. After your team confirms the current need and requirements, I’d prepare the invitations for the partners you choose.

Explain the role

Rides to work, school and appointments. Approved volunteers choose from weekly opportunities that fit their schedules.

Preserve the preparation

Your linked handbook specifies drivers over 21. A valid licence, insurance information, background check, orientation and child-safety training are part of getting started.

Example partner-leader email

An invitation churches can pass on.

Subject: Could someone in your church help a mother get where she needs to go?

The O’Connor House is looking for transportation volunteers to help mothers get to work, school and appointments. A ride is a practical way to support a family working toward independence.

Drivers must be over 21 and complete the volunteer preparation, including orientation, a background check and child-safety training, with a valid licence and insurance information on file. After approval, volunteers can choose from the weekly opportunities.

Two short reminder messages

Keep the invitation clear.

Four-week campaign approach

I’d handle the messages and the handoff.

Start with your team’s current priority

I’d confirm the types of rides you need, the current preparation requirements, who answers questions and how many applicants your team can support. I’d keep residents’ information private and work through your approved communications owner.

Give partners a message they can use

I’d prepare one partner email, the short congregation invitation and two reminder versions. The reminders would keep the same clear role and application route so partners can repeat the invitation confidently.

Use social media to explain the role

I’d recommend explaining one practical journey—such as reaching work—and linking to the volunteer information page. The post would answer who can help and how to get started. I’d use only organization-approved material and keep residents’ photos and personal details out of the campaign.

Learn what brings suitable volunteers

Your application already asks how people heard about you. I’d help your team use that existing answer and aggregate counts of enquiries, completed applications, approved drivers and first rides to see which invitations are useful. I’d review what to continue after the initial campaign.
